Good evening SixPak,
Enjoyed talking with you last night, I think this will help a lot of Cowboys in need. Each of us just never know what the next minute is going to bring.
I continue to gain strength, but only a little at a time, then fatigue catches up with me. If the weather will warm up I will get to walk more outside, till then just a few minutes on the treadmill. I have had my last radiation and chemo treatments for this round and am now waiting till the end of March for a MRI and the see all the doctors, to see if or what is next. We are praying that they find nothing and we can just get back to being us.

Hello Members, SASS Friends and Family!
I just got off the phone with Lady Long Step, she is in good spirits and truly appreciates all the prayers. Long Step has a long road to haul, but with a little bit of our generosity we can help make go a little smoother. Longstep is in a stage 3 category, brain cancer which gives a life span of 6 months to a year without radicle treatment.
They are trying to get him into a new trial therapy. The only draw back is the money. Some will be covered by Bonnie's insurance, and 12 of the treatments will be free, he will need at least 24, but after that, they will need our help. If each of you could send $1 to the 4 Corners Community Bank in Farmington it would go a long way to help. (Treatments are about $6000.00 each after the free trial is up.) We are hoping that all their SASS family will donate $1, that should be enough to get them through or at least a big chunk of it.
Their computer is in the closet, so they have not been checking emails on a regular basis, but he loves the letters and cards and it keeps his spirits high.
They did a total body scan and there is no other sign of cancer anywhere except on his brain. They were able to remove about 20% of it, but any more than that would affect his body functions and eyesight. He wants to beat this thing, so he is committed to going all the way. We just have to keep the letters and cards going telling him to hang in there.
They were in the middle of building their new home, and have all the stuff bought. Friends and family are now in the process of finishing it up for them. They can't wait to move in. His treatments will be in Tusla, they will last 3 weeks out of the month, so they are going to try to rent a small apartment in Tusla for those 3 weeks. They must start on this as soon as possible, every minute that passes without it, is a minute out of Gary's life.
Bonnie is getting ready to go back to work, it has been a tough 3 weeks for her also, but she must get some normality going for both their sakes. Her boss told her she can work from Daisy or Tulsa, so that was a load off her also. They are currently staying with Gary's mom and dad and is surrounded by family.
Most of all keep them in your prayers, they are counting on it.
